This weekend, John Greenleaf Whittier fans will follow the poet’s lead and head out in horse-drawn carts to the thick patches of mountain laurel in Maudslay State Park. Like Whittier and his crew, they’ll celebrate the flowers with poetry, companionship and some free refreshments at a Feast of the Laurels Poetry Celebration.
